Here I have examples of my success at school, my best subjects are Writing and Language Arts. I'm not very good when it comes to public speaking but give me a pen or pencil and some paper and I can write anything. My teacher says that as the year continues my writing gets even better. I'm also a pretty good artist I can be very creative and can draw many things not everything but almost, i'm very good at graffiti and you will also see that below.
Importance of Religious Freedom
Most of us are lucky to be living in a country where we get to choose our own religion and not be told what religion to follow or what we should believe in or not. Sadly in other countries people must follow a certain religion where if they choose not to they get killed or tortured. Freedom of religion is choosing any religion we want, to believe in whatever we want, or not believe in a single thing. Most of the world has that opportunity, i'm not sure how much of the world but I do know that the United States has a massive population of people choosing their own religion.
Freedom of religion hasn't always been around , lets go back to the 1600’s where people didn't have that right and had to follow certain religions. Sadly nothing was done until at least 100 years later when the first amendment was established allowing people to have freedom of speech as well as letting people choose what to believe in giving people freedom of religion. Religious freedom is important because we now have certain rules that we didn't have back then our world wasn't as advanced as it is now.
I believe I have made my point that religious freedom is something that we should all thank that we have because other places don't have it. Without it our world would be a total chaos there would be wars and fights and we wouldn't have what we have today our world wouldn't be the same. No one is told what to believe in we get to walk around choosing any religion believing in anything and no one will say a word or start fighting because everyone has that right to believe in what ever we desire.
TO Kill a Mockingbird
I am still reading the amazing book To kill a Mockingbird which is an amazing book like I have previously said, this amazing book was written by Harper Lee. Last time I had only read the first few chapters but know I have finished the first part and am currently on chapter thirteen. After chapter five the story has not stopped it continues to get better and better the excitement gets so much higher as I continued to read. The book takes place in Maycomb, Alabama as I continue to read there is no other place where things occur except for well in Maycomb, which as a reminder is a small town everyone knows everyone and not much goes on. The story doesn't move around as much everything goes down in different places but all in Maycomb. New people and new places have been introduced like the African American church , Zeebo, and more Finch past.
The story has not lost me anymore because there's a lot of excitement and everything is going really fast much more drama is being caused not just by one little thing or one person but a variety of people and issues going around the town. When it comes to making and image in my head to tell what's going on it's not hard based on the incredible detail given from what people are eating, wearing to a mole or color lipstick on someone. As new characters are introduced the more detail is used a character can be pictured from top to bottom as clear as glass. The plot shifts a little threw out the story like one second its a all happy and with the blink of an eye it becomes sad and full of anger. Based on the incredible detail given a bunch of pictures come to mind its hard not to continue reading. For example when they describe Miss Maudie’s house is burning and it doesn't say “flames come out the window” but instead there is much more detail and vocab because the book says … we saw fire spewing from miss Maudie’s dining room windows … we know where, what room, and from where.
The main theme continues to be racism and continues to increase because of the time period and the way white people and people of color were treated and weren't really united. A lesson that I captured but was in a way hidden how Aunt Alexandra sister of Atticus is trying to change Scout because shes not “feminine” enough and the way Scout doesn't let it get to her heart and isn't changing Im proud of Scout because no one should be told what to be, how to act, etc. Everyone is different but we have to accept and be sure of ourselves be the person we want to be not what others see us for.

ST. Thomas More essay
I dont think that anyone is forced to be catholic or to join a religion this is based on ones own opinion. It doesn't matter if you go to a catholic school or not because what's important is if you want to believe or not because God doesn't make people do something they don't want to. I dont think that my catholic education has to do with relationship with God nor in loving my neighbor more deeply. The only difference is that I learn more about God then I would at any other school because I have a religion class everyday and not only do I go to church once a week ( usually Sundays) but sometimes up to three or more. That still doesn't influence my relationship with God because even if I go to church I can be playing around and couldn't care at all. I have a pretty good relationship with God because I am not forced to listen to the word of God because I have made the decision to be a follower of God. Not only has my catholic education had a great impact in my relationship with God but also have my parents pushed me towards the catholic church but also have they done their job as parents in taking me to church and teaching me about the catholic faith. Like St. Thomas More my parents are helping me with my catholic faith and leading me towards God. My friends have also helped me and so have
my teachers because I shouldnt be ashamed and i'm not i'm catholic and I don't care who knows. Everyone with whom I have great relationships with have told me right from wrong.

Dear Editor,
It has been very common these days for young girls between the ages of 15 and 17 to get pregnant. Young girls make a mistake and don't know what they are getting into. When they find out they are pregnant, it comes to a shock because they don't know what to do. Some girls take the heavy role, have the child and become a mother. Although there are those seven out of ten girls that really can't handle this situation and make the decision of abortion. Abortion is when a girl does not want to have their baby so she goes to a clinic and has a doctor that removes the forming baby from the stomach.
Yes, everyone is in charge of their own life and no one can tell them what they can or can't do its a gift given to us by God called Free Will. When a girl takes the choice of abortion they don't think about it all the way through. The child might have had invented something amazing that could have a great impact on humanity. The girl should know that she has been blessed in a couple ways like she was able to form a baby inside of her which unfortunately for some girls/women is not possible. They are also blessed with the gift of becoming a mother and having a child of God be born from your stomach.
Not only is it terrible to even consider the choice of abortion but it goes against the sixth commandment which states that you shall not kill. Some people don't consider it “killing” because you can't kill something that you don't see. The way I see it and in God eyes as well is that its considered a life the minute it starts to form. When some girls finds out that their child might be born with some sort of “imperfection,” that encourages them more towards the choice of abortion. A baby born with some time of “imperfection” such as a syndrome, physical difference, or an incurable disease is not bad the way I see it they are just unique.
By now I should have made it clear that I am against abortion because if the girl is willing to make a mistake then they should handle what comes with it. Abortion is incorrect and should not be allowed it goes against the catholic church. When about to have abortion the girl should know shes killing an innocent life that could have been the next big thing. So what the child was going to be born with an “imperfection” that doesn't matter I don't care and God won't care, because the child is fine the way he/she looks like. The question that should be asked is how would you feel if you found out your mom was about to consider abortion and not have you. I know I wouldn't feel all that great id feel terrible.
Happiness
Happiness can mean a lot of different things for a lot of different people. For some happiness is money, food or sometimes can simply just be laying down and relaxing. Happiness comes in different shapes and sizes like people, people also bring happiness especially people that we don't see as often. Like family members that are too far away to visit or friends that go to different schools or live somewhere else. Happiness isn't just given like candy, it's not like “you want happiness?” well then there you go No, its up to us and for us to decide if we want to be happy or not. Like Aristotle said “Happiness depends upon ourselves” and hes right. The same way we decide chocolate or vanilla we decide happiness or not and trust me happiness is a way better feeling than not to be happy.
As I continue to grow the definition for happiness continues to change. Like when I was younger gettin $1.00 or a doll would fill me with so much joy. I remember going to Disney Land for the first time, I was the happiest little girl and I didn't really have much to worry about. I remember so much from my childhood and how I didn't have to worry because I had my parents right next to me. I know i'm not really old i'm only 13 years old which is only around eightish years ago to when I first went to disneyland. Now that i'm not the same little girl I have worries I have responsibilities and $1.00 no longer brings me joy its more like $50 or $100 that put a smile on my face, I no longer play with dolls but more with music and electronics. Happiness doesn't just change based on what we do or as we get older but on our surroundings like technology, friends, families, etc.
Now because so much has changed Happiness has continued to change as well like right now. My best friend from kindergarten moved not to a different city but now I believe she lives in Daly City so thats pretty far away. We went to the same school, same classroom, everything for six years then we went our separate ways. Now money, technology, wasting money isn't happiness, For me its being able to see my friends and family after a while and simply having fun and catching up thats happiness. I dont need anything else to make me happy as long as I have them, technology and all that, is a waste of time and isn't happiness its just boring.
It should be clear that happiness for me isnt money, technology, or wasting money with shopping its just being able to see friends and family members but not everyone is the same thats just my happiness, what's yours?

Elizabeth Dole Poem
Elizabeth Dole, a strong women she is,
ran for president after 1991
but let’s take it back to when she was a young girl,
when her parents pushed her to be the best in the world,
At the age of 18 she attended Duke University,
but transferred to Harvard Law School where she got her law degree, and became the woman she was meant to be,
Dole’s first job in the White House in the Department of Health,
she eventually met a man named Bob who she married in 1975, with whom she lived the rest of her life,
Dole’s husband Bob ran for president, just like his wife,
but sadly lost and continued on with his life,
A couple years later Robin Dole came to be,
and made the lives of her parents complete,
now lets come back to 2015,
where she sits as a Senator for the Republican Committee.

Act 2
Love is such a great feeling and although very nice it is the most hurtful feeling in the world. Over the years Love has been shown in so many different ways that now its hard to take serious. One can say “ I love food” or “I love him/her” but thats not true love its just a word that over time has been used in unnecessary ways. Love for some is a feeling or simply just considered any other word. Love should be taken seriously but now a days it might be considered a joke. Teenagers use love the most but not the proper way, most of them don't even know what love is so why play with it.
There are a ton of love quotes and sayings out there some are true, some are dumb, and some just make you think. One of saying that really makes me think is the saying “love is blind.” It can mean so much yet you question whether its true or just another saying. For me this saying seems to only happen in fairy tales not in real life. Why? because there is no couple in the world that will tell you we met once fell in love and got married. That doesn't happen in real life because loves a game and to win we need to know how to play also need to know that will lose and sometimes we will win. In real life we will never see someone cute and then instantly fall in love with them thats just not how things work. Sure we can say it about famous people because we don't know them but when it comes to someone random things get more serious and we can't just marry the first cute person we see not until you get to know them but theres one in a million chances that it will work out but you never know. I remember hearing a story where the characters were played by emotions and love was also playing so love lost and got hurt which caused him to become blind so the other emotions helped love out. Even though love is blind, it has great aim so when love strikes it never misses and it hits the right people, so dont be surprised when you get love struck.
Now a days so many young people, teenagers to be more exact are dating and think that their inlove and boom they're going to get married and live happily ever after. Like no they aren't thinking straight sure it can last a couple weeks months maybe years but unless something big happens they probably won't be the love of your life. I know that back in the Elizabethan era young teenagers were married usually they were arranged marriages that didn't work out. A Couple years back teenagers were able to luckily decide their love but still its crazy to get married at such a young age. I dont know what goes on in their minds when they say “I do” like its a crazy idea I certainly don't agree with it because I know I wouldn't do it so why support it. Sure teen years are the toughest and craziest years in our lives but getting married is just too crazy almost all those teenagers don't even know what love is and there over there getting married with someone they barely know. It doesn't count if all you know is their name, birthday, and some of their family members thats just basic information that does not prove true lasting love. Some get married when children are brought to this world but still wont work out at least not forever but some are lucky and it actually does work out. Love can't be played with and that's something everyone should know especially teenagers.
